We are proud members of the Painted Desert Sheep Society and breed registered, purebred Painted Desert Sheep. PDS originate from Texas and are bred for their amazing meat, natural hardiness, and of course their trophy horns! This breed produces some of the tastiest, leanest lamb and mutton of any sheep. Our sheep are raised on all-organic diets and have ample room to roam and play. Our dogs both protect and herd the sheep for us here on the farm, giving them both fun and important jobs to perform. At Weaverville Farms we do not sell lambs or meat. Our sheep provide the dogs with mental and physical stimulation and help sustain our family, creating the perfect ecosystem here on the property.
